NEBA's Visit Latvia Program was developed to attract people to Latvia to interact with NEBA members thereby expanding personal networks in such a manner that they can combine “business and pleasure”. The idea is to visit Latvia for one week fulfilling a particular goal while enjoying some of the things that Latvia has to offer.

The Visit Latvia program is built on our established DMC (Destination Management Coordinator) system which facilitates entering new regions and new markets. A DMC is a professional with local knowledge and expertise, working in the design and implementation of events, activities, and program logistics for a client with the purpose of developing business opportunities in a particular region for the specific client.

There are currently three initiatives under NEBA's Visit Latvia Program:

• Medical tourism mobilizes NEBA’s health care providers and hospitality sector members. They provide a wide range of medical services locally, and offer international clients a bundle of services for a visit to Latvia to receive medical examinations, diagnostics and treatment at affordable prices, in a secure environment, and by professional and highly skilled specialists with the added benefit of being able to enjoy the cultural and scenic environment of Latvia.

• The Sports tourism initiative provides a bundle of services and coordination of trips to and from Latvia for teams involved in hockey, curling, basketball, football (soccer), cricket and rugby with the added benefit of being able to enjoy the cultural and scenic environment of Latvia.

• Business/trade development services: NEBA members and their partners offer a wide range of trade facilitation, market entry and business development services for those considering selling products or services to Northern Europe, or importing from this region, or who may be considering setting up business, or manufacturing or logistics operations. NEBA’s business/trade development initiative approach provides a bundle of services and coordination of trips to Latvia to become acquainted with the region and its possibilities for business.
