NEBA Networking through sport meeting, July 10th, 2023
14.06.2023

Northern European Business Association
Networking through sport

Dear Members and Friends,

You are kindly invited to attend NEBA’s Networking through sport teleconferencing meeting.
  • Date: Monday, July 10, 2023
  • Time: 18.30 (Riga, GMT+3)
  • Place: ZOOM Videoconferencing.

Please register your intent to attend by following this link.

Our immediate objective is to involve more countries in the sports tourism initiative and arrange several “projects” in the coming months. The report on the first meeting can be found at https://neba-network.eu/NEWS/14062023-report-on-nebas-networking-through-sport-meeting. Currently, active participants of the program include Canada, England, Latvia, Finland, Georgia, Hungary and Scotland. Those interested are welcome to participate.

This invitation is addressed to:

  1. those interested in organizing sports teams visit from your country to visit sports teams in Northern Europe or visa versa
  2. those providing services associated with sports tourism such as hotels, restaurants, transportation services and other service providers.

NEBA considers networking through sport to be one way to develop relationships between people that could lead to successful business cooperation. The concept is new, but the groundwork has been set in our sports tourism section of our Visit Latvia program (https://neba-network.eu/sport) headed by Normunds Kupcis of the  European Recreational and Old-timers Hockey Association (http://www.euroha.eu/en/). Normunds has been arranging hockey team visits to Latvia for quite some time now. NEBA’s “Visit Latvia program” was renamed “NEBA’s Visit program” as interest was shown by our members in England, Scotland, Finland, Canada and Georgia, and expanded to include curling, football, cricket, etc. And this is just the start. We hope to expand the concept under NEBA umbrella in the months to come.

Should there be any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly.

Best regards,
Ed Kalvins
