  • New Governing Council member:

The “Visit Latvia” program

  • The Visit Latvia program is expanding. We are actively working on a Visit Finland program, and  have discussed the possibility of such programs for Canada, Georgia, Estonia, Norway and Scotland. As a result, the “Visit Latvia” designation is inappropriate. The whole program will now be referred to as “NEBA’s Visit Program” - see https://neba-network.eu/visit-programs.
  • The following are recent modifications to the Visit Latvia program:
    • Trade Facilitation & Business Development sections have been replaced by Business/Trade development section.
    • Medical Tourism section added four more procedures.
    • Costs updated to current levels for all sections.
  • Our international friends are welcome to participate in the program. Please write if you have any questions.

Events

  • NEBA-network’s Pre-Valentine’s Business networking took place on Monday, February 13th, 2023 at 18.30 at Singh’s Restaurant, Pulkveţa Brieţa iela 2 (https://singhs.lv/). These informal gatherings are intended as an opportunity to connect or re-connect in person and discuss relevant issues. In this case it was to provide a bit of an update on the CanCham and NEBA (the Northern European Business Association). These events will be continued in the small group form in order to enhance communication between Board members and the general membership. For gallery follow link.
  • The Founding Members (1st Annual) Meeting tentatively scheduled for April 24th was re-set to May 29.  It should be noted that there is no legal obligation to have this meeting, but installing a new Board by NEBA’s registration anniversary date (June 28th, 2022) would be preferable.
  • Future networking events were discussed. It was agreed that the format of the NEBA-network pre-Valentine’s day event format should be used, that is, in small groups which would be appropriate for individual NEBA chapters, and that such events could be organized with a guest speaker and/or be the subject of a specific topic that could be discussed. Extending this idea, this discussion could continue in a NEBA Talks format that could be made available to the international NEBA membership.
